Function Selector Knob

The function selector knob actuates a 6-port vacuum selector valve, which controls air source intake and air distribution within system. The function selector knob also controls blower on-off switch and A/C compressor clutch operating circuit.

Actual turning on and off of compressor clutch is dependent on function selector knob and A/C clutch cycling pressure switch. Both switches must be closed to energize clutch for compressor operation. The following function selector knob settings affect air distribution:
