Manual Transmission - Overhaul: Lubrication

Use Mercon multi-purpose ATF (XT-2-QDX). Capacity is 5.7 pts. (2.7L). To add fluid, disconnect Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) electrical connector. Remove VSS. Place funnel in VSS opening and add fluid. Reinsert VSS and check fluid level. Fluid level should be within gear teeth surface of VSS. Reinstall VSS and electrical connector.
