Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS)

OCS, if equipped, is located under right front seat cushion and consists of a bladder and pressure sensor. OCS informs OCS electronic control module of the weight of any occupant or object in passenger seat. RCM monitors OCS electronic control module inputs and determines whether passenger-side air bag should be deactivated or not. Based on these inputs, RCM may or may not deploy passenger-side air bag in the event of a deployable crash.
