Compressor Fitting HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.
2. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Battery.







3. Unlatch the air breather.







4. Disconnect the mass air flow sensor electrical connector.







5. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
1. Loosen the clamp.
2. Disconnect the crank case ventilation tube.
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.







6. Disconnect the electrical connector.







7. Remove the A/C pressure cut-off switch.







8. Remove the nut and disconnect the line.







9. Disconnect the manifold line.







10. Remove the bolt.
11. Remove the manifold and tube assembly.

INSTALLATION












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate the O-ring seal with PAG Compressor Oil, YN-12c, F7AZ-19589-DA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
