Compressor Fitting HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.







3. Disconnect the A/C pressure cut-off switch connector.







4. Disconnect the A/C manifold and tube from the A/C condenser core.







5. Disconnect the A/C manifold and tube from the [1][2]suction accumulator/drier.







6. Remove the bolt.







7. Remove the nut.
8. Lift the A/C manifold and tube out of the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

















1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate the new O-ring seals with PAG Compressor Oil, YN-12-C, F7AZ-19589-DA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
