Powertrain Control Module - Automatic Transaxle

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If the modules are exposed to these charges, damage may result. For additional information, refer to Module Communications Network (Information Bus) for module service precautions.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the parking brake and shift consoles. For additional information, refer to Console.







3. Place the gearshift lever in LOW and remove the transmission control selector dial bezel screws.







4. Turn the transmission control selector dial bezel one-quarter turn counterclockwise.







5. Loosen the bolt and disconnect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) electrical connector.







6. Slide the PCM straight out.

NOTE: Make sure the anti-rattle clips are correctly aligned when installing.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
