Seat - Front: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Lincoln LS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the seat in the vehicle and connect the seat electrical connectors.
    2. NOTE: Original fasteners must be discarded and new service fasteners installed. Service fasteners can be reused.
  2. Install 2 new seat track-to-floor front bolts and washers.
    • Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  3. Repower the SRS. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING in the General Procedures .
  4. Move the seat fully forward.
    5. NOTE: Original fasteners must be discarded and new service fasteners installed. Service fasteners can be reused.
  5. Install 2 new seat track-to-floor rear bolts and washers.
    • Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  6. Install the 2 seat track-to-floor covers.
  7. Position the safety belt anchor to the seat and install the nut.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  8. Install the safety belt anchor cover.
  9. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
