Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.

CAUTION: Do not tamper with the MAF sensing elements located in the airflow by pass. Tampering may result in unit failure.

NOTE: The MAF sensor module and body are calibrated and replaced as a unit.







3. Loosen the clamp and remove the air cleaner outlet tube.







4. Remove the four bolts and the mass air flow sensor.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
