July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Test K: Off Switch Inoperative

  1. Check Light Blue/Black Wire  - Disconnect speed control servo/actuator connector C116 (located on left side of engine compartment). Disconnect speed control switch connector C261 from steering wheel. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance in Light Blue/Black wire between speed control servo/actuator connector C116 terminal No. 5 and speed control switch connector. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Light Blue/Black wire. Repeat SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Test drive vehicle to check operation.
  2. Check Tan/Orange Wire  - Using an ohmmeter, check resistance in Tan/Orange wire between speed control servo/actuator connector C116 terminal No. 5 and speed control switch connector. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Tan/Orange wire. Repeat SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Test drive vehicle to check operation.
  3. Check OFF Switch Operation  - Connect speed control switch connector. With speed control actuator OFF switch pressed, check resistance between speed control servo/actuator connector C116 terminals No. 5 (Light Blue/Black wire) and No. 6 (Tan/Orange wire) while rotating steering wheel. If resistance is less than 4 ohms, replace speed control servo/actuator. Repeat SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Test drive vehicle to check operation. If resistance is 4 ohms or more, replace speed control switch assembly. Repeat SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Test drive vehicle to check operation.
