Pinpoint Test F - Alarm Light Does Not Work
- Connect a jumper wire between ground and anti-theft control module pin No. 15. See Figure . If light turns on, go to next step. If light is off, check for open Dark Blue/Light Green wire between anti-theft control module and indicator light, repair as necessary. Retest system.
- Using a voltmeter, check voltage at anti-theft control module pin No. 1. If voltage is more than 9 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 9 volts, check fuse No. 16, replace if necessary. If fuse is okay, repair Dark Blue/Orange wire between fuse panel and anti-theft control module. Retest system.
- Check voltage at anti-theft control module pin No. 4. If voltage is less than 9 volts, go to next step. If voltage is more than 9 volts, check for short to power in White/Purple wire. Retest system.
- Open any door. Activate power door lock switch. If alarm light flashes then glows steadily, system is okay. If alarm light does not flash or glow steadily, replace anti-theft control module. Retest system.
