Engine Rpm Sensor (RPMS)

This sensor is used only on diesel engines. Disconnect RPMS electrical connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance across sensor terminals. Resistance should be 2400-2800 ohms. Replace sensor if resistance is not as specified.

NOTE: Engine must be at normal operating temperature of 192-212°F (89-100°C) when checking/setting dynamic timing.
