Pinpoint Test P - Speed Control Indicator Does Not Come On

  1. Unplug connector from cruise control amplifier, located at left rear of engine compartment. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between 8-pin connector Orange/Light Blue wire and Black wire. If voltage is approximately 5 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, go to step 3).
  2. Inspect Orange/Light Blue for continuity between cruise control amplifier and instrument cluster connector C2 pin No. 26. See Figure . If continuity exists, temporarily substitute known good EIC, then retest system. If continuity does not exist, repair open Orange/Light Blue wire.
  3. Test for battery voltage at Light Blue/Pink wire at cruise control servo connector. If battery voltage exists, replace cruise control servo. If battery voltage does not exist, repair appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAM.
