Power Steering Pressure (PSP) Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

PSP sensor monitors for increase in hydraulic pressure, indicating an engine load at idle. PCM uses PSP sensor signal to increase idle speed to prevent engine stall during parking maneuvers.
