July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Wiper Circuit Test

  1. Turn ignition on. Inspect REAR WIPER fuse. Replace fuse if blown. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse blows again, repair short to ground in Blue/Green wire between fuse panel, wiper motor, and washer motor.
  2. Unplug wiper motor connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage on Blue/Green wire at rear wiper harness connector. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Blue/Green wire.
  3. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between Black/Blue wire terminal on harness connector and ground while pressing and releasing rear wiper switch. Resistance should be less than 5 ohms with switch pressed, and greater than 10,000 ohms with switch released. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, inspect for open Black/Blue wire between rear wiper motor and rear wiper switch, or Black wire between rear wiper switch and ground. If wires are okay, go to step 5).
  4. Unplug wiper motor connector. Apply battery voltage to motor terminal for Blue/Green wire. Connect motor terminal for Black/Blue wire to ground. If motor does not run, replace motor.
  5. Test rear wiper switch. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH TEST. Replace switch if it is defective.
