Alternator: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air cleaner assembly, if necessary.
3. Disconnect wire harness connectors from voltage regulator.
4. Remove accessory drive belt.
5. Remove two alternator mounting bolts, then the alternator.
6. Remove alternator fan shield, if equipped.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
