Clutch Switch: Service and Repair

1. On models equipped with airbag, disarm airbag system.
2. Remove trim panel above clutch pedal.
3. Disconnect electrical connector.
4. Remove clutch interlock retaining screw and hairpin clip, then remove switch. Always install the switch with the self-adjusting clip one inch above end of the rod. The clutch pedal must be fully up (clutch engaged) or the switch may be improperly adjusted.
5. Insert eyelet end of rod over pin on clutch pedal, then secure with hairpin clip.
6. Align mounting boss with corresponding hole in bracket, then install retaining screw.
7. Reset clutch interlock switch by depressing clutch pedal to floor.
8. Connect electrical connector, then install trim panel.
9. On models equipped with airbag, rearm airbag system.
