Ford Motor Co. cruise control system consists of 4 switches ("ON-OFF", "SET-ACCEL", "COAST", and "RESUME"), servo assembly, speed control sensor, clutch position sensor switch (M/T), amplifier, wiring harness, vacuum dump valve, necessary wiring and vacuum hoses. Vehicles equipped with diesel engines also use vacuum reservoir with integrated check valve.

Cruise control system switches are located on steering wheel horn pad. Amplifier is located under instrument panel, and servo assembly is mounted on intake manifold or on top of radiator ("E" series). Speed sensor is located on transmission.
