Field Relay Test
Disconnect relay connector plug. Make test connections are shown in illustration. Set field rheostat control to full counterclockwise position and turn knob clockwise until test light glows. Voltmeter will give relay closing voltage at moment test light glows. If relay closes immediately, even with field rheostat near maximum counterclockwise position, depress red button between meters and repeat test. If closing voltage is not to specifications, replace relay.
