Module, Powertrain Control: Installation

Install the PCM to the bracket.
Secure the PCM using fasteners.
Connect the PCM harness connectors (1 and 2) to the PCM.
Connect the negative battery cable.
NOTE:
If the original Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and original vehicle mileage is not programed into the PCM, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may be set.
If installing a new PCM, use a diagnostic scan tool to reprogram the new PCM with the vehicles original VIN and mileage. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, MODULE PROGRAMMING .
