DTC Test No. 30 - Transaxle Range Sensor

NOTE: Transaxle range sensor may also be referred to as park/neutral position switch or transaxle range switch. Possible causes for DTC are: defective park/neutral position switch, loose connector, open or shorted park/neutral position switch wiring circuit or defective ECM.

When park/neutral position switch failure exists, Transmission Control Module (TCM) delivers a malfunction signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM). Check TCM and transaxle control system. See appropriate AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS article in appropriate lemon-25(R) TRANSMISSION SERVICE & REPAIR manual for transaxle diagnosis.
