Check 7, Accelerator Switch Off Function

The accelerator switch detects the operational status of the accelerator pedal.

During constant speed driving, the accelerator pedal is not operational. The ground circuit of the accelerator switch if off during constant speed driving, as to not interfere with the function of the automatic transaxle.
