October 30: LEMON manuals on a temporary server, it is slow and having issues, download the manuals you need! Later in November we will switch back to the fast server.
Stator Windings Grounded Test
- Inspect stator laminations closely for signs of overheating. A burnt spot usually indicates shorted stator winding. Set ohmmeter on "x1000" scale. Connect one ohmmeter probe to one stator lead and other probe to stator laminated core. Ohmmeter reading should be infinity.
- If meter needle moves, stator winding is shorted to core and must be replaced. Repeat test for each stator lead. DO NOT
touch probes or stator leads, as an incorrect reading will result.
