Test 12



Crankshaft Position Sensor:






CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR



1. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS).
2. Using an ohmmeter measure the resistance across the sensor terminals marked A and B.
3. The ohmmeter should read 125-275 ohms at operating temperature. If resistance is not within specification replace the crank position sensor. If resistance is within specification refer to COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS for ECU testing and signal verification.
