Battery Temperature Sensor: Removal

Open hood.
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable then the positive cable.
Disconnect the Battery Temperature Sensor electrical connector.
Carefully lift the thermal guard off over the battery.
Remove the thermal guard from vehicle.
Unsnap the Battery Temperature Sensor and remove the sensor. See Fig 1.
