Resonator/Intermediate Pipe: Installation

  1. Install resonator/intermediate pipe to catalytic converter pipe (Figure ). Do not tighten band clamps at this time.
  2. Install the muffler, but do not tighten band clamps at this time (Refer to MUFFLER  ).
  3. Install resonator/intermediate pipe and muffler isolators (Figure ). Tighten bolts to 28 N.m (250 in. lbs.).
  4. Tighten band clamps to 70 N.m (55 ft. lbs.).
  5. Install downstream oxygen sensor and tighten to 27 N.m (240 in. lbs.). Connect wiring to oxygen sensor.
  6. Install rocker panel cover (Refer to ROCKER PANEL COVER - INSTALLATION ).
  7. Lower vehicle.
