July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Park/Neutral Switch

The Park/Neutral (P/N) switch may also be referred to as a Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch. P/N switch is used on Ram 2500/3500 Pickups equipped with 46RE and 47RE A/T only. For transmission usage, see AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION APPLICATION - TRUCKS & RWD VANS  table. For all other A/T-equipped vehicles, see TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR  . Switch prevents engine starter from engaging if vehicle is in any gear except Park or Neutral. P/N switch input is used to determine idle speed, fuel injector pulse and ignition timing.
