EGR Valve Inspection
- With EGR valve removed, inspect EGR valve for sticking or heavy carbon deposits. Blow air through pipe section while covering bypass (lower center) hole on mating surface of EGR valve. There should be no air passing through.
- Using vacuum pump, apply 5.9 in. Hg to EGR valve. Repeat step 1). Air should pass from EGR pipe to upper center hole on mating surface of EGR valve. Replace EGR valve if it fails either test.
