Security Gateway (SGW) Module

REMOVAL

NOTE:

If a NEW  Security Gateway (SGW) module is being installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the module. Failure to flash the module will leave the SGW module in a locked mode preventing SGW module operation.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the Integrated Center Stack (ICS). Refer to MODULE, INTEGRATED CENTER STACK (ICSM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
    NOTE:

The Security Gateway (SGW) module is mounted to the Instrument Panel (IP) on a bracket behind the shifter assembly and Integrated Center Stack (ICS).

  3. Remove the three retaining bolts and disconnect the SGW module wire harness connectors.
