Removal And Installation: Installation

- Position the VRM (1) into the vehicle.
- Install the three VRM to body nuts (3) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the VRM wire harness connectors (2).
- Install the VRM cover (2) with the two mounting nuts (3) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
- Reset the passenger front seat.
- If the VRM has been replaced, the remotes will have to be programmed. To program the remotes:
- Reset the remote control by pressing play/pause, down, and the screen button simultaneously for about 5 seconds until the backlight flashes.
