MODULE, Powertrain Control: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the cowl panel cover. Refer to Body/Exterior/COVER, Cowl Panel - Removal .
  3. Remove the bolt that secures the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and bracket to the cross support.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the PCM.
  5. Remove the PCM and bracket from the vehicle.

  6. If required, remove the two screws that secure the bracket to the PCM and remove the bracket from the PCM.

  7. If required, remove the rubber bumper from the PCM.
