July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Dodge Magnum, 2006 Dodge Charger, and 2006 Chrysler 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The RKE transmitter uses radio frequency signals to communicate with the SKREEM/WCM. The SKREEM/WCM is on the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus network. When the operator presses a button on the transmitter, it sends a specific request to the SKREEM/WCM. In turn the SKREEM/WCM sends the appropriate request over the CAN bus to the Integrated Power Module (IPM) to activate the park lamps, the headlamps, and the horn for horn chirp.
