Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Partially drain the cooling system. See DRAINING COOLING SYSTEM .
  3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor harness connector (1).

  4. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor retaining clip (1) and the sensor.
