Horn Fails To Sound During Alarm
- Ensure horn is operating properly. Repair horn system as necessary. If horn is operating properly, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect 26-pin Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module connector, located under center of instrument panel top cover. See Figure
. Connect one end of a jumper wire to RKE module connector terminal No. 18, horn relay control circuit. See Figure
. Momentarily touch other end of jumper wire to ground. If horn sounds when jumper wire is grounded, replace RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If horn does not sound when jumper wire is grounded, repair open wire. After making any repairs, perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
