No ABS Bus Messages Received
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, attempt to communicate with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module. If scan tool does not communicate with ABS module, diagnose communication problem. See NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROLLER ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE under COMMUNICATIONS. If scan tool communicates with ABS module, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, erase DTCS. Cycle ignition off and on and wait about one minute. Using scan tool, check for DTCs. If DTC resets, replace instrument cluster. If DTC does not reset, no problem is indicated at this time. Test is complete.
