July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Chime Inoperative At All Times

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Ensure battery is fully charged. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Using scan tool, select BODY CONTROLLER. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, go to BATTERY POWER TO MODULE DISCONNECTED  under COMMUNICATIONS. If no message is displayed, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, activate CHIME TEST. If chime does not sound, replace Body Control Module (BCM). See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If chime sounds, no problem is indicated at this time. Test is complete.
