Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Dodge Intrepid, 2004 Chrysler Intrepid, 2004 Chrysler Concorde, and 2004 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove cruise control servo and bracket and position aside, if equipped. Reposition wire harness aside to access PCM. See Fig 1. Remove washer bottle filler neck. Remove Transmission Control Module (TCM) and position aside. Remove PCM and disconnect 40-pin connector.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Perform air bag system check to ensure system is functioning properly. See AIR BAG SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
