Removal (Left Forward Control Arm)
CAUTION:
Install bolts attaching forward control arms with head of bolt facing forward to prevent damage to fuel tank and/or fuel tubes. Also, left rear control arm attaching bolt to crossmember must be installed with head of bolt facing rearward to prevent possible damage to fuel filler tube.
- Raise vehicle, and remove wheels. Remove nut and bolt attaching left control arms to spindle. Remove only nut attaching left forward control arm to rear crossmember. Bolt can only be removed once crossmember is lowered.
- Remove screw securing brake tubes to left stabilizer bar isolator bushing retainer. Remove 4 bolts attaching both stabilizer bar isolator bushing retainers to frame rails. Allowing stabilizer bar to hang down out of way. Remove screw securing fuel filler neck to left frame rail.
- Position transaxle jack under fuel tank. Remove right, then left bolts securing both fuel tank mounting straps. Allow straps to hang down. Lower transaxle jack and fuel tank enough to allow removal of bolt attaching left forward control arm to crossmember. Remove control arm.
