Courtesy Lights Inoperative With Left Rear Door Open
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect left rear door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 2 (Black wire) at left rear door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. See Figure
. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire between left rear door lock motor/ajar switch and ground.
- Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) harness connector C4. Measure resistance in Tan/Red wire between terminal No. 1 at left rear door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector and terminal No. 2 at BCM harness connector C4. See Figure

. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Tan/Red wire between left rear door lock motor/ajar switch and BCM.
- Connect left rear door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. Open left rear door. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 2 (Tan/Red wire) at BCM harness connector C4. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace BCM. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace left rear door lock motor/ajar switch.
