Wiper Motor Operates In High Position Only
NOTE:
Wiper motor inoperative in Low and Intermittent position.
- Replace HIGH/LOW wiper relay with known-good relay. If wiper motor operates properly, replace original relay. If wiper motor does not operate properly, go to next step.
- Check for short to ground in Violet wire between BCM connector C3 terminal No. 12 and HIGH/LOW wiper relay connector terminal "C". See WIRING DIAGRAMS . See Figure . If faulty circuit is found, repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check for defective BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULES - CONCORDE, INTREPID, LHS & 300M article. Repair as necessary. If BCM is okay, go to next step.
- Check for open in Brown/White wire between HIGH/LOW wiper relay connector terminal "E" and wiper motor connector terminal No. 2. See Figure . If faulty circuit is found, repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Connect fused jumper between battery voltage and wiper motor terminal No. 1. Connect jumper wire between ground and wiper motor terminal No. 5. If wiper motor runs intermittently or does not run, replace wiper motor. See WIPER MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
