Test 6A: Common Output Shorted To Ground

NOTE:
Perform TEST 1B: IDENTIFYING ATC SYSTEM BCM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES before proceeding with this test. DTC 44 will set when BCM detects mode door drive, blend air door drive, recirculation door drive and/or common drive output shorted to ground.
- Locate Body Control Module (BCM), attached to junction block, at left end of instrument panel. Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM Gray 14-pin connector (C1). Ensure connector terminals are clean and tight. Repair as necessary.
- Close all vehicle doors and ensure courtesy lights are off. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and BCM connector C1 terminal No. 10 (Brown/White wire). If resistance is more than 5.0 ohms, replace BCM. If resistance is less than 5.0 ohms, repair short to ground in Brown/White wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST .
