Trouble Code Descriptions: Notes

The TBI and MPFI injection systems are equipped with a self-diagnostic capability which stores certain trouble codes in the SMEC when system malfunctions occur. Trouble codes are 2-digit numbers that will tell you if certain sequences or conditions have occurred. Fault codes indicate the results of a failure but do not always identify the failed component.
