Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor

The MAP sensor is located in the logic module. It monitors manifold vacuum via a vacuum line from the throttle body to the sensor. The sensor supplies the logic module with an electrical signal which keeps the module informed of manifold vacuum conditions and barometric pressure. This information is combined with data supplied by other sensors to determine correct air/fuel ratio.
