Component Description
K9 Body Control Module Depending on the version, the control module can support different functions:
  • Immobilizer Function
  • Horn
  • Power Mode Control
  • Ignition Key/Shifter Interlock

The control module also reads various switches and sensors and makes their values available via serial data.
K89 Immobilizer Control Module The control module is attached to the immobilizer coil, which surrounds the ignition key or switch. The coil produces a magnetic field that powers the transponder in the ignition key and, at the same time, transmits a code to the transponder, which answers with another code. The correct code is one of several pieces of information that is processed before the engine is allowed to be started.
