Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Install a NEW seal.

    Engine Oil Cooler Seal (3) - Install

  2. Engine Oil Cooler (2) - Install
  3. Engine Oil Cooler Core Bolt (1) - Hand tighten

    Engine Oil Cooler Hose Clamp (2) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

  5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Fastener (1) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)

    Ensure that the engine oil cooler locating tab (1) is positioned against the engine block.

    Engine Oil Cooler Core Bolt (1) - tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

  9. Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield - Install - Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield Replacement
  10. Change the engine oil and filter. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
  11. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)
