July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Installation Procedure

  1. Install a plug into the wheel speed sensor hole in the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
  2. Thoroughly clean the wheel speed sensor mounting pad on the wheel hub and bearing assembly of any accumulated dirt, grease, and debris.
  3. Remove the wheel speed sensor hole plug.
  4. Apply a light coat of high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the wheel speed sensor mounting pad on the wheel hub and bearing assembly.

  5. Install the front wheel speed sensor assembly to the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
    6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Install the front wheel speed sensor bolt (1) and tighten to 13 N.m (115 lb in).

  7. Secure the front wheel speed sensor harness retainers (2).
  8. Secure the front wheel speed sensor harness electrical connector (1) to the brake hose bracket.
  9. Connect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  10. Install the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JD9)Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J95)Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J96) .
  11. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Dual Rear Wheels) .
  12. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
