Preliminary Procedures

Remove the left side instrument panel lower trim panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side .
Disconnect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
3 N.m (27 lb in)

Procedure

To install, align the brake pedal position sensor pin to the brake pedal bracket.
To install, align the brake pedal position sensor fork with the pin on the brake pedal.
After the installation is complete, calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration .
