July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  2. If equipped with the front leveling position sensor, disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Fig 1: Nut

    NOTE:

    Support the lower control arm ball joint with a hydraulic jack.

  4. Loosen Nut (1)

  6. Install CH-42188-B  separator (2) @Steering Knuckle (1)
  7. Separate the steering knuckle from the lower ball joint.

    NOTE:

    If necessary turn the steering knuckle in position.

  9. Remove Bolt (1) @Front Lower Control Arm Bushing (2) - and DISCARD

    NOTE:

    Hold against the nuts (1) to release the bolts (2). Use a suitable tool.

  11. Remove Bolt (2) and DISCARD
  12. Remove Nut (1) and DISCARD
