Side Object Sensor Front Procedure
- Disconnect the side object sensor electrical connector.
- Release the locking tabs on the side object sensor.
- The side object sensor is a one piece design. Do NOT twist the sensor cap to try to remove the painted cap.
- Remove and replace the side object sensor. Replacement sensor is purchased pre-painted to match fascia/bumper body color.
NOTE:
- Do NOT refinish previously painted sensors. Excess paint build up can cause the sensor to be rendered inoperative.
- Ensure the silicone decoupling ring is installed on the sensor to avoid sensor failure.
