Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Isolator Mounting Nuts

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Install the battery isolator (2) and tighten the mounting nuts (1) to 6.2 N.m (55 lb in).
    2. Fig 2: Battery Isolator Terminal Nuts

  2. Install the battery isolator terminals (3) and tighten the terminal nuts (2) to 6.2 N.m (55 lb in).
  3. Connect the fuse block connector (1) to the battery isolator.
  4. Install the battery isolator cover.
  5. Install the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Left Side)Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Right Side) .
  6. Connect the primary negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery) .
