Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. Support the rear lower control arm, if needed.
1 Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Nut
2 Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Adjuster Cam
3 Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Adjuster Bolt
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  70 N.m (52 lb ft) plus an additional 60 degrees

4 Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Bolt

Tighten:  150 N.m (111 lb ft) plus an additional 90 degrees

5 Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Nut
6 Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm
Procedure: 
Check and adjust the rear camber. Refer to Rear Camber Adjustment .
